When to use it
From install to action
Download Acti and enable the keyboard on your iPhone or Android phone.
Add Rewrite in Any Style in Acti. The Act appears in the Act Panel on your keyboard. You can also assign it to a letter key or add it to your Acti Wheel.
Type the text you want to rewrite in any text field.
Tap Act on your keyboard and choose Rewrite in Any Style. If you assigned it to a key, hold that key to run it. The Act asks for one more line: the rewrite style. The rewritten text then replaces what you typed. Review and edit it before you use it.
What Rewrite in Any Style does
Rewrite in Any Style rewrites the text you typed in your target style while preserving its core facts, language, and meaning. You give it two things: the text, and a short line naming the style you want. The result replaces your text in the same text field.
Why it belongs on the keyboard
The right style depends on where the text is going, and you usually know that only once you are in the app. With the Act on your keyboard, you write once and restyle it in the field where it will be used.
You stay in control
A rewrite can shift emphasis even when the facts stay the same. Read the result and make sure it still says what you mean before you use it.

What is the extra input for?
The Act asks for the rewrite style, so you decide how the result should sound each time you run it.
Does it translate my text?
No. It keeps the language of your text and changes the style. For translation, use an Act such as Translate to Any Language.
What happens to my original text?
The rewritten version replaces the text you typed in the text field.
